01 / The work

Timed to your calendar

Golfers, pickleball and tennis players, runners, cyclists and swimmers. Tell me what you play and when you play it next.

  • 01

    Pre-event preparation

Brisk, stimulating work in the days before you compete, so the tissue is warm and responsive rather than loosened past the point of use.

  • 02

    Post-event recovery

Slower clearing work that reduces next-day soreness, so the following training block starts on schedule instead of a day late.

  • 03

    Maintenance between events

Where the real gains are. Restrictions can be resolved rather than managed, before the compensation pattern becomes the injury.

  • 04

    Flexibility and mobility

Assisted stretching and tissue work at the joints your sport asks the most of, with range checked before and after.

  • 05

    Chronic overuse patterns

Attention to the recurring shoulder, elbow, hip and knee pain that single-sided sports produce over a season.

  • 06

    Injury rehabilitation

Graded work around strains and sprains as they heal, respecting the stage of recovery you are actually in.

02 / How it runs

Built backward
from your next date

Most recreational athletes are asymmetrical. One arm swings, one leg pushes off, one side rotates further. Over a season the dominant side tightens and the body compensates elsewhere, which is why the knee complains about a hip problem.

Sessions run 60 or 90 minutes, and every technique the treatment calls for is included at no additional charge.

Common questions

Sports Massage questions

  • 01

When should I book sports massage around an event?

Pre-event work is best in the two days beforehand, and post-event work within seventy-two hours. Maintenance work fits anywhere in between.

  • 02

Which sports do you work with?

Golfers, pickleball and tennis players, runners, cyclists, swimmers and boaters, among others. Tell me what you play and when you play it next.

  • 03

Do I need to be an athlete to book sports massage?

No. The same techniques treat anyone whose activity has produced a repeated loading pattern, including trades and yard work.
