Deep tissue massage in
Punta Gorda

01 / The approach

Slower pressure, not harder

Deep tissue is not harder pressure. It is slower pressure, worked along the fiber of the deeper layers so the tissue releases rather than guards.

  • 01

    Targeted tension release

Focused work on the specific muscle group holding the pattern, at a pressure you stay comfortable breathing through.

  • 02

    Chronic pain management

A repeatable plan for long-standing back, neck and hip pain, including what to do between appointments.

  • 03

    Injury rehabilitation

Careful work around healing tissue and scar adhesion, coordinated with any advice from your physician or physical therapist.

  • 04

    Stress and tension relief

The jaw, scalp, neck and upper back that carry the day, worked until the shoulders sit lower than they did on arrival.

02 / A typical session

Come in with a problem to solve

Most clients arrive with a specific complaint. I identify the structures involved, treat them, then assess the joint through its full range of motion.

  • 01

    Sixty minutes

Enough to treat one region thoroughly, such as the neck, shoulders and upper back.

  • 02

    Ninety minutes

A full-body approach with additional time devoted to the areas that need it most.

  • 03

    Every technique included

Cupping, hot stones and aromatherapy are used whenever your body needs them, at no additional charge.

  • 04

    Between visits

Two or three specific recommendations chosen from what was found during treatment.

Common questions

Deep Tissue Massage questions

  • 01

    Does deep tissue massage hurt?

It should feel like productive pressure you can breathe through, not pain you brace against. Pressure is agreed at the start and adjusted throughout.

  • 02

How long does relief from deep tissue last?

Most clients report several days to a week following focused deep tissue work, longer once a pattern has been treated across several sessions.

  • 03

How is deep tissue different from a regular massage?

Deep tissue uses slower, more targeted pressure into the deeper muscle layers, rather than the even, flowing pressure of a relaxation massage.

Call and describe the problem. A two-minute conversation usually settles it, and you will be speaking with the therapist who treats you.
